We recently heard about BKD, an award winning children's baking company, and loved the idea of their little baking kits as stocking fillers and Christmas presents. We've just got back from a chilly and wet weekend in Suffolk where we stayed in an amazing Airbnb property that I have to tell you about! Yes it's that time of year to start thinking about a Christmas jumper for your little ones (if it's your kind of thing!). Do you go tacky and cheesy or subtle and tasteful with some fairisle knits? There are some great styles out there, my absolute favourite are the Tootsa MacGinty collaboration with the Conran Shop, all based on vintage 1950s designs, they have 4 to pick from but I can't decide which one!

Who doesn't love a bit of Charlie Brown and Snoopy?? Whilst most kids may not know who these vintage 50's comic strip then 80's TV characters are it definitely rings a bell with my childhood and feels very nostalgic. We were lucky enough to go along to the launch of the Gap Kids x Peanuts range yesterday at their flagship Bond Street store.

I try to buy a nice hat (normally more than £20) for Finn to wear on mama days and weekends and then a more basic budget hat (around a fiver) for him to have at nursery that I don't mind getting trashed or lost.

So I know we like to focus on the nice things in life here on Finlay Fox - shopping, cool clothes, gifts and treats for ourselves and kiddies - but the main reason for that is to make our lives a little bit happier each day as parenthood can be SO TOUGH! We had a great afternoon last week at mega textile designer Donna Wilson's Snug and Pop up Shop in East London (unfortunately it's finished now). It was part of the London Design Festival and seemed to be the only real child friendly attraction around.
