Kids Activities: Toucan Box

October 16, 2015 Emma Paton

We recently subscribed to and started receiving the Toucan Box - a brilliant kids activity box that fits through your letterbox fortnightly. It's perfect for mama Fridays I have with Finn where we need a morning or post nap (if I'm lucky!) activity for an hour. We sit at the kitchen table and unpack the box to see what goodies are inside to get creative with. It's great as it gives you all the materials you need, all measured out - glitter, crayons, felt, goggly eyes etc. for each activity. I still haven't got the best cupboard of arty bits at home so this is filling the gap for now.

One week we made a treasure map and parrot, another a crown (as beautifully modelled above) and some finger puppets, and more recently some jellyfish. Recommended for ages 3 - 8yrs but they have been fine with Finn (2.5 yrs) and of course you will need to assist! I've actually really enjoyed the creativity myself :)

We just get the petite box (£3.95 + £0.98 postage) which is an activity with a different theme that arrives every fortnight but there are options to get bigger boxes and books. First boxes are free to try and you also collect stickers on a chart which eventually entitle you to free gifts.

You can amend delivery frequency or cancel at any time. Worth a try - especially as you can claim your taster box for free if you type in A1015 or click here.
