My kids turned 7 and 10 this year. How the heck did that happen?! We suddenly realised that not only are they becoming older and more independent, but they also seem to be getting worse (or more savvy!) at demanding more ‘stuff’ from us.
Read more5 Small Steps I'm Taking to Become a More Conscious Consumer in 2019
With a new year and a new start I wanted to share with you how I plan on working towards being a more conscious consumer this year. With our love of readily available clothing putting such a huge strain on our natural resources there are some scary statistics about the fashion industry that are really eye opening and hard to ignore.

Some of you may remember I have been doing the MUTU System online course to help me get more body confident post partum and sort my pelvic floor out. I wrote an initial blog post about it here. I have now finished the course so wanted to write a follow up post about the result and give my final verdict.

Yay to the start of summer and yay to the most beautiful flowers at this time of year. Finally it's the season for blousy, romantic peonies - my all time favourite - with their pretty soft colours and frilly petals. I've also been enjoying seeing all the blossom and wisteria images feeding through on social media.

Sending flowers on Mother's Day (this year it's on Sunday 11th March) could be perceived as a bit of a cliché but I honestly don't know anyone that doesn't like flowers or plants. With so many different options around at the moment - from flowers, succulents and vintage vases - there really is something for everyone. I've never been that green fingered and always so jealous of my mum who is!

It's that time of year again where the cold, dark, wintery grey days feel like they will never end and we start thinking about sunnier, spring and summer days to look forward to. The time of year where we start trying to find that perfect holiday to book. As a major sufferer of lack of vitamin D (I am a serious summer person), I don't think I could deal with...

I don't think I've ever posted about food or recipes (except for babies!) on the blog so you may think it's strange to find a recipe here. I come from a family of serious foodies and it is such an important part of my life (and hopefully my childrens when they grow up). Also I used to live in Singapore when I was younger so Asian food has been a really big part of my childhood and a strong influence on my taste buds!

With Finn starting school in September we felt it was a good time for him to start learning a key skill - using a knife and fork properly. Meal times are a bit of an ongoing battle for us still as he is such a fussy eater but he does love to feel like he is doing more 'grown up' things, including staying up late and having dinner with us, so it felt like the timing was right to start.

So we've only just returned from Damp Bestival, sorry Camp Bestival in Dorset, so I thought it would be good to write a few words whilst things are still fresh (as fresh as they can be after a muddy festival) in my mind! I actually survived and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought and Finn was a total legend and as for the husband...

We are hitting family favourite festival Camp Bestival in July. Held in Lulworth Castle in Dorset, this will be my first ever trip to Camp Bestival and the first festival I have taken the kids. It's going to be interesting as I'm not going to lie... I don't like camping!

Finn is a big fan of games on the iPad and iPhone these days, he's at a good age to understand them (3.5 yrs old) and will happily sit and play them independently, it always amazes me how they always just know what to do?! This is pretty useful when you've got a million chores to run around the house doing! We all need moments of time out from our little ones - be it for housework duties...

Buggies and strollers - something you will use everyday for at least the first two years of being a mum. Somewhere for your baby to sit, sleep, eat, feel comfortable, safe and secure. Lots of mums to be ask me how you know what buggy to pick when you're going to have a baby. Personally I went on a recommendation and what was considered to be the 'cool' buggy to own at the time (Bugaboo Bee).
