Some of you may remember I have been doing the MUTU System online course to help me get more body confident post partum and sort my pelvic floor out. I wrote an initial blog post about it here. I have now finished the course so wanted to write a follow up post about the result and give my final verdict. It was really strange pulling these photos together as I never weigh myself and I never do before and after body pictures for anything! I'm pleased with the results as it has been really hard work so it's nice to see there has been some changes. But the main thing to remember is it's not just about the physical results - it's also about the mental results this course has given me - I feel happier, stronger, more confident and mentally fitter. Plus, I am actually looking forward to wearing a bikini on holiday this year.
I have now managed to build the all important 'self care' into my week where it was once lacking in a big way. I now take more time to myself and understand the importance of making the effort to look after myself, be that walking, making a healthier lunch or doing morning stretches before I start my day. Since completing the programme I am still doing the core strengthening exercises 4 times a week at 7am when I get up with the kids (they sit and watch cartoons thankfully). I am doing the intensive workouts twice a week on top of my weekly pilates class I do. I have learnt that by building the programme into my lifestyle and finding a way for it to suit me has meant that I feel happier and more in control of how I feel.
So how do I feel?
I feel more toned, like I have lost a bit of weight, more body confident (dare I say it sexier!) and stronger. I carry myself better and feel more comfortable in my clothes. My pelvic floor feels strengthened and I am more aware of and enjoying the good foods I should be eating more of.
I do intend on continuing using the course as the videos are so simple to follow and effective. I would highly recommend this programme to anyone who wants to start feeling a bit better about themselves - be it physically or mentally - after the changes of having a baby/ babies. I'm enjoying being a MUTU mama!
The course is really worth the cost, especially if you think how much a gym membership or personal trainer costs! The membership is for 24 months and there is a network community and support on offer to guide you along the way if you need it too.
The price of the program is £146. If you choose to pay all at once it is £124 The kit bag is an additional extra which is not included in the price.
