Yay to the start of summer and yay to the most beautiful flowers at this time of year. Finally it's the season for blousy, romantic peonies - my all time favourite - with their pretty soft colours and frilly petals. I've also been enjoying seeing all the blossom and wisteria images feeding through on social media.

I love discovering small, independent brands on social media and was really excited to see such amazing prints from Polish kids brand Don’t Grow Up on there. They are fairtrade and use organic fabrics and I like their ethos of staying a kid at heart. Their nautical prints - think mermaids, sailors submarines and fishes - are really fun and the shapes are modern and comfortable.

We've been going bananas for all the tropical vibes happening in kids swimwear this season! Bold colour stripes and retro detailing are also catching our eye - love the spots, ruffle necks, skirted swimsuits and surf sets. Now we just need the weather to improve again and the local paddling pool in Clissold Park to open.

It's nearly the end of March so I thought I'd get a quick Mama Fashion Finds edit in before Easter! I recently attended a Levis bloggers brunch and got to try on lots of the new pieces for SS18 which are out now. I fell in love with these dungarees which I was hesitant about at first as they are quite a baggy fit but they did end up coming home with me!

I love the colourful new lookbook, 'Serious about Peace', that Olive Loves Alfie have just released along with their SS18 ranges. It's styled by Ashlyn Gibson and photographed by Penny Wincer and has the most amazing beldi rugs (which I am currently obsessed with) as backdrops. Peace and Love seem to be a consistent resounding message...

I'm totally loving Warehouse at the moment! For me I see it as a much more affordable Whistles with some great shapes for a real variety of ages and body shapes. I have to confess I hadn't shopped in Warehouse for quite a few years but they have recently rebranded with a new design team and I have rediscovered this iconic British high street store.

Body confidence is a hot topic at the moment, so when I was invited along to an influencers event towards the end of last year to see a private screening of Embrace, an inspiring documentary film that explores the idea of female body image, I jumped at the chance to see it. The film was honestly amazing, a must see for all women, kids and men.

This month I'm totally crushing on stripy jumpers, fluffy knits, pops of colour (I'm on the look out for the perfect lilac/violet jumper), comfort dressing (those leopard joggers!) and I love the idea of wearing a hoody like the yellow M&S one underneath a tailored blazer. I'm dreaming of wearing shoes without tights and socks (check out those perfect & Other Stories nude flats with the black strap, how nice with blue skinny jeans?!) but think...

Sending flowers on Mother's Day (this year it's on Sunday 11th March) could be perceived as a bit of a cliché but I honestly don't know anyone that doesn't like flowers or plants. With so many different options around at the moment - from flowers, succulents and vintage vases - there really is something for everyone. I've never been that green fingered and always so jealous of my mum who is!

As Violet recently turned two we decided it would be a nice idea to update her room. With the last blog post on the kids rooms being so popular, I thought it would be nice to share any updates we do to them. I wasn't going to write one of those 'New Years resolutions' type posts but I've seen a couple of other bloggers take note of their goals, plans and dreams for the year which got me thinking about where I'm at. I thought I might actually find it helpful and therapeutic to write it all down, especially as my head is ALL OVER THE PLACE at the moment.

It's that time of year again where the cold, dark, wintery grey days feel like they will never end and we start thinking about sunnier, spring and summer days to look forward to. I know a lot of people are thinking about not spending post Christmas and that so many of you are decluttering (I WILL sort out my wardrobe this month!) and hibernating but there is something about January that always draws me to the new. I don't think I've ever posted about food or recipes (except for babies!) on the blog so you may think it's strange to find a recipe here. I come from a family of serious foodies and it is such an important part of my life (and hopefully my childrens when they grow up). Also I used to live in Singapore when I was younger so Asian food has been a really big part of my childhood and a strong influence on my taste buds!
