Spring jackets - a bit of an essential in this in between weather as we wait for warmer days but maybe don’t want the extra warmth of a lined wool coat still. I’ve been asked a few times to share some nice Spring jackets so here it is, my high street finds. Trenches, blazers, parkas and utility styles are my go to styles and checks and yellow seem to be the big trend this year. Checks are always classic so good investment pieces that you will wear year after year.
Here are my top coats, blazers, utility jackets, parkas and trenches for Spring. As always click on the images to shop.
This unlined wrap coat is super chic, classic and versatile. Wear open and loose or make it more fitted with the belt. I’m wearing my usual size 12, size down for a more fitted look if you prefer.
Herringbone Wrap Coat, M&S, Currently reduced to £100
This cocoon shape twill coat is the perfect Spring/ Summer coat as it’s made out of cotton so lightweight but still heavy enough to keep you warm. It also comes in Navy. Wearing my usual size 12, it’s such a great find and currently in the sale too! A wardrobe must have.
Twill Cocoon Coat by Kin at John Lewis, currently reduced to £84.50
This textured cross stitch jacket caught my eye when I popped into & Other Stories as it was a bit more unusual than some of the other blazers around. I’m wearing the size 38 here.
& Other Stories, Blazer, £89, Currently out of stock online but linked an alternative one here
Such a wardrobe classic - a navy blazer. The oversized boxy shape of this makes it an easy chuck on - style with jeans and trainers or pop on over a floral dress and ankle boots. I’m wearing the size 40.
Wool Blend Oversized Blazer, & Other Stories, £159
M&S make a really good check blazer and loved this double breasted style back with white jeans, slogan tee and trainers for Spring. I’m wearing my usual size 12.
Check Double Breasted Blazer, M&S, £79
I love an oversized utility parka, the perfect school run jacket. The relaxed fit means it’s an easy everyday chuck on piece. Wearing my usual size 12.
Utility jacket by Kin at John Lewis, £119
I think I bang on about this every year, but if you don’t own a khaki surplus style jacket in your wardrobe then make sure you get one! Madewell make really good ones, yes they aren’t cheap but you will have it forever, it’s the perfect Spring jacket and not only looks good with jeans but also over pretty midi dresses too. Wearing the large.
Madewell Surplus Jacket, £118 at John Lewis,
This military sherpa jacket will keep you warm on those in between days and have you seen the sherpa colour? Pink! Pink and green - my fave combo! I’m wearing the large here, love this so much!

The colour of this little bonded belted jacket caught my eye as it works so well with denim, khaki, pink and beige and I can imagine being a useful piece for smartening up your look easily. I’m wearing my usual size 12 which was a good fitted fit.
Topshop, currently reduced to £49 (matching trousers are also available)
This feminine trench coat comes in this gorgeous Spring yellow, blue or beige. It definitely feels smarter than some of the other trenches around as the fabric is more draped and the balloon sleeves are elasticated. I’m wearing my usual size 12.
Trench Coat, John Lewis, £169
The pink check in this trench caught my eye. I tried on a really big size here as they didn’t have any smaller sizes left so couldn’t really say about the sizing on this one!
Check trench coat, M&S, £49.50
Spotted this belted trench and fell in love with the mustard/camel colour of it. It says it’s a midi length but it is quite long (I’m 5’7) and I’m wearing the size 40. i’m also really keen to try on this M&S trench that has just come out (I spotted it at their press day) and the colour again is so lovely.
Belted Trench Coat, & Other Stories, £110
