Yes I know, it is only early March and the thought of getting your toes out here in th UK is perhaps a little way off….however all the best sandals often sell out so I wanted to share the most covetable ones that I think will be bestsellers, in fact some of these are already nearly sold out!
The ‘Dad Sandal’ or ‘Grandad Sandal’ has been an ongoing trend these last few years, slowly gaining momentum. First it was the Birkesnstock Arizona then it was the Teva and Arizona Love trekking sandal - both styles I love and will continue to religiously wear. However this year the sandal that some may find ‘ugly’ and ‘marmite’ is the chunky sole dad sandal. Taking inspiration from these Chanel ones (retailing at £1000+! ) the high street and other designers have really done a great job creating more affordable versions. Kurt Geiger’s Orson Sandals have become an ‘It’ sandal with a variety of colours to choose from. Dune’s version is called Lockstock and comes in everything from leopard print, denim and tweed to the classic quilted black. Other brands worth taking a look at are Alohas Loop Back Sandal and Ducie Sonia style who both also do really impressive looking versions.

Personally I love them! I think they work with socks, jeans, skirts, dresses and shorts. I have bought the Orsons and Lockstocks to try.
