It also has such a lovely ethical and sustainable story behind it. Made of toquilla palm, all MonPanama hats pass through the hands of over 20 skilled artisans, each specialised in a different skill, including weaving, dyeing, washing and shaping. Each hat features a stamp of authenticity signifying it has been created in a certified workshop in Ecuador.
I’ve taken the hat (and its accompanying handcrafted hat box (which is included in the price) to help protect it whilst travelling) on 2 flights and holidays with me now. Not only does it have a UPF protection of 40 but looks so good and works with so many ways of dressing - from beach to an event. It feels very old school glamour, super classy and I know it’s something that I will use for the next 30 years and pass down to my children.

This is how I styled the Fedora Hat and Audrey Bag when I went to Ibiza last year. The bag can be worn on the shoulder, cross body or as a clutch. It is a handwoven seagrass fan bag with hand-cut black leather tassels, zip fastening, a black cotton lining with a small internal pocket, and a detachable and adjustable black leather shoulder strap.
More recently I used it on my South Africa trip. Here I’ve worn it back with a classic black Swimsuit from Beachcafe and Miu Miu sunnies. I love the retro feel in these looks!
And here you can see how I used the Audrey bag in a more dressed up way (would be perfect for a summer wedding!) and also on the beach for lunch teamed with bare feet.
