Marks & Spencer is still my favourite go to high street store and a website I look at nearly every day! I think they make good quality stylish clothes at a reasonable price. For me they always nail everyday dressing with the right level of fashion and more recently have been my favourite place for dresses and shoes. The press days they put on are always a highlight and it’s so exciting to see what will be coming into stores and online in the coming months. I’ve pulled together my favourite pieces and as always will be linking them as they land online over on my Instagram stories. The main highlights for me this season are the jumpsuit (easy to wear, everyday fabric), swimwear (with a nod to some of the more indie brands), sandals and dresses (the perfect swishy midi and maxi dresses you will live in).
The shorts and jacket in earthy tones (due out end March) is a look I’m lusting after along with the raffia accessories and leather sliders.
This jumpsuit is a complete winner and ‘one to seek out’, says Vogue - I love how they have styled it here as well with the Breton and heels.
These are my top picks for SS19 from M&S as seen at the recent press day…
Daywear Dressing
A strong denim edit hits stores on the 26th February and I was really impressed with the denim dresses, shirts (some more unusual shapes) and skirts that you know will be the basis of your wardrobe staples. A very easy to wear jumpsuit is going to be a sell out so set your alarms for this navy number! I’m also looking forward to the perfect summer trench in a spot on yellow/ khaki shade and as for the relaxed suit (a massive trend for this year) back with white trainers - a look I’m keen to get into this year!
Dresses
Boho, maxi, broderie, tiered, animal print…there is a serious city to beach holiday dress selection to pick from, all in comfy and easy to wear shapes.
Bags and Shoes
Loafers, trainers, white boots, platform sandals and strappy 90’s style sandals were spotted in abundance. Statement bags for every occasion and cross body ones for those easy run around days.
Swimwear & Holiday Dressing
I’m so excited by the new swimwear range which looked so fresh and feminine. I will be packing quite a few of these pieces for my holiday!
Kidswear
Bright, colourful and fun - my fave kind of kidswear! They also have lots of swimwear made from recycled plastic coming out too, great to see a big brand using more sustainable fabrics in their production.
