OK I know this seems crazy as summer is finally here... but I wanted to share some of my star finds for kids and mums from some AW17 press days I attended recently for Monsoon, Next and M&S. I always get so excited about seeing the new ranges and couldn't keep them secret. These are some of our greatest British High Street shops and going to press days always makes me remember how amazing they are. They always manage to deliver such exciting product we want to get our hands on every season. Don't get me wrong I love to shop small and independent but as a mum I know the reality is we all mix and match and I'm a real supporter of the high street. They produce some really good pieces at great prices and having worked as a buyer at a big retailer for over 10 years I know how much work goes into getting these styles out to the consumer and at such good prices!
This M&S pink coat above - will be a staple of my mum wardrobe come September/October. So take a look and get excited for next season. Hitting stores later this summer...
M&S Womens
The knitwear (full sleeves, colourblock, ribs and cosy knits) and coats (furry, fluffy, pink & pvc biker) were the stand out pieces for me. Cross body bags, satin, florals and velvet with shimmery pleated skirts are going to be high up on my Wishlist. The ranges scream MODERN WOMAN and plenty of versatile pieces mean we will all be shopping in M&S this Autumn! M&S Kids
Pink, Red, Grey, Brown and Blue colour themes adorned the walls showing off the new pieces. Fave styles included the Badge bomber jacket (£22), Lucky Jumper (£18) and Frill Sleeve Jumper (£14). They have some really fun accessories including fox gloves, unicorn and sausage dog bags.
Monsoon/ Accessorize Womens
Fave pieces included.... miltary inspired bags, cross body bags, star jeans, Velvet dungarees and tassel earrings.
Next Womens
Velvet shoes, metallics, tulle skirts, jacquards and biker jackets were key and plenty of leopard print accessories still!
Next Kids
Pom pom shoes, smocking, liberty inspired prints and a few rock'n'roll pieces stood out including some Guns and Roses and Rolling Stones tees. Next always produce really fun kids ranges and this one didn't dissapoint!
