Now there's a reason to love the summer rain! There are some brilliant brands producing stylish rainwear these days. Yes, we are faithful to the old yellow Petit Bateau mac, a complete icon piece in a modern child's wardrobe, but sometimes it's nice to try something new! We were sent a 'Crouching Tiger' rain cape to try out from Go Soaky. Finn absolutely loved it! The best thing about it, apart from the swirling, was how covered he was and all the details - this is a high quality cape. I need one of these in adult sizes - it would make the perfect waterproof for pushing a buggy in the rain!
Go Soaky is a Dutch brand based in Amsterdam, they create simple, essential rainwear using high quality fabrics and trims. Their rainwear is a tribute to all children who love to go on an outdoor adventure and their parents who love their kids to stay dry and look nice. So what do we love about them? Well the colours for a start - pink, grey, yellow and khaki, all very unisex so can be handed down to siblings. Also the quality - they are mega waterproof and the design features make sure you are guaranteed to stay as dry as possible. The shapes - capes, coveralls, macs, trousers and even back packs - all in their signature waterproof fabric suitable for the heaviest of down pours.
The Go Soaky team loves penguins, and support World Wide Fund projects for Nature in Antarctica. Besides the environment, Go Soaky also focuses on the people who are involved in manufacturing their rainwear, only working with carefully selected and certificated suppliers.
They make for age 0 - 14 yrs and we adore these images from their SS16 campaign...
Thanks for sending us a cape Go Soaky. Finn's cape is around £40 but prices go up to £80 for a double lined jacket.
