We went to the Mothercare AW16 Press Day earlier this week and saw some amazing things! Here are lots of pictures of our favourite pieces, all will be available to purchase from August, online and in-stores. Thanks for having us Mothercare, we had a fun morning!
We loved the black and white theme for the day and the walls you could colour in in the Little Bird by Jools Oliver area. Peter Rabbit, Russian Doll and Soldier Boy cut outs watched us and Violet slept the whole time making it easier to take it all in!
Little Bird by Jools Oliver
We love this iconic retro brand for it's nostalgic 70's feel, it always delivers on bright fun colour, jackets and dresses. There are plenty of unisex styles and this season the pieces have a 'harvest' theme as well as toy soldiers and russian doll graphics and embroideries. I also wanted to mention, in case you don't follow her already, Amy Rose Watts from Me, Myself and Ivy who is an avid Little Bird fan and her little girl, Ivy, always looks incredible in the Little Bird outfits (see them on Instagram here). My favourite pieces were the Stripy Roll Neck and Black Dress with white pin tuck bib.
My K by Myleene Klass
In opposite contrast to Little Bird by Jools Oliver, if you want something a bit less colourful, in fact only in grey, black or white (!) then My K by Myleene Klass is for you. Lots of leopard print and some great accessories (love those cat wellies!) make this a fun, playful collection with some great unisex pieces. My favourite pieces were the leopard knitted hat and black & white stripy dungarees.
Mothercare
There were some really sweet pieces for baby and toddler in Mothercares own range. Brit Chic and Campus Pop were the main design stories. We were also impressed with their nursery and storage pieces. All super affordable, such a great British High Street brand!
