I've been thinking recently about my son, Finn, and how mature he has become since we've had Violet. Sometimes (always with kids) time flies past and when you have two it's easy to overlook their developments and changes as life is so full on. In the last 10 months he's really changed into a proper little boy and I'm starting to realise how influential we are as parents in what our little ones develop into and believe in (and how much of my swearing he has started repeating!). My one hope is that he will be a well grounded person. In fact I believe he is already on his way there - he has good self esteem (long may that last please!), he's positive and forms his own opinions, he is real and true to himself and likes to keep his feet firmly on the ground! This is not an outdoorsy boy, but a thoughtful and kind natured soul who likes to be inside and can spend hours constructing lego and drawing (ninjas mostly!). OK so that may be a nice link into the amazing clothes he has been wearing over the Summer and Winter from British kids' brand, Well Grounded Co. I took some pics the other day of him wearing them. He's 3 years and 9 months old in these pics but looks a lot older! He's well and truly lost his toddler chubbiness and is blossoming into a little boy aka a threenager.
I met Jenny, who set the brand up, at a Mothers Meeting earlier this year and she is mama to Lily (11 yrs) and Jasmine (9 yrs). As you know we love small independent brands on the blog so we were keen to test some of her lovely new brand out. Finn has the Grey Arrow Zip Jacket, Black Arrow Sweatpants and underneath the super cute Bear Tee. We love the playful arrow print and thick quality of the jersey. The joggers are slightly tapered which I always prefer for a nicer fit and are softly brushed on the inside. The styles are unisex so can be handed down to Violet, as well as being super practical, comfy and seasonless, hence we have been wearing them for the past 6 months.
Their collection is called Woodland adventure and uses the thoughts and ideas kids from the city have about going into the woods. We love the playful imagination the collection has and these are definitely clothes that are going to last and withstand being washed a zillion times . OK so Finn is very unlikely to be the boy who runs wild in the woods, rolling in mud and jumping from trees but these clothes can let him be a boy, a well grounded boy.

Thanks to Jenny for giving us some clothes to try out, this is a sponsored blog post but all opinions expressed are my own.
