There's something about little feet, little toes and little shoes. The prospect of those baby feet, smooth and innocent, taking their first steps turns me into a sentimental old mama. Part of me wants to slow down time but the other part can't wait to see the adventures we walk together. Ever since I was pregnant with Violet I became obsessed with Amy & Ivor shoes. To me they epitomise everything I lust after in a luxury baby shoe - beautiful colours, stylish simplicity, buttery soft leather and a great fit. Plus it's alway a bonus if they stay on well! Those kicking toes enjoy trying to get them off but more recently Violet has actually been taking steps in them.
Violet was kindly sent a pair of the Cinnamon Travellers to wear, as modelled in these pics. It's the perfect tan colour and works well with all her wardrobe but I especially like matching them back with bright colours as we've done here with yellow and bright pink tights. We have the Cheetah Moccasins as well (we are on our second pair we love them so much!) and these are easy to get on, leopard print with a more traditional moccasin look. I just hate how quickly her feet are growing as they aren't lasting very long!!
The soft soles are perfect for babies to get a feel and understanding of the surfaces they walk along to help develop a sense of balance too. The softness also allows their feet to grow unrestricted. We have unfortunately since these photos had a lost shoe then a found shoe - sadly found after a fox had had a good chew on them! He had good taste :(
These make brilliant gifts, all handmade to order I can't recommend them enough!
